Session Reports give you a full performance breakdown of each individual live shopping session your store has hosted. From total viewers and revenue to per-product results and attendee activity, this is where you go after a session ends to understand what happened and how to improve.
Reports are generated once every 24 hours after a session ends. If your session just wrapped up, check back the next day.
How to access
In the left side menu, expand Analytics and click Session Reports.
At the top of the page, use the session dropdown to select the event you want to review.

Shows basic information from the selected Live Session.
Marketing Key Metrics
A separate card focused on traffic quality. How effectively your marketing turned clicks into actual viewers:
Total Unique Users. Everyone who arrived at the session landing page, whether or not they watched. This is your marketing reach: everyone who clicked a link, scanned a QR code, or landed from an ad.
Total Active Viewers. The subset who actually engaged with the live stream, not just landed on the page.
Active Viewers Rate. Active Viewers divided by Unique Users. This is your traffic-to-viewer conversion rate, showing how effective your promotion was at turning clicks into watchers.
Business & Revenue Metrics & Conversion Funnel (Terrific & Pixel Events)
A three-step funnel shows how your audience moved toward purchase: Added to Cart → Checkouts → Sales. The drop-off between steps helps you spot friction. A large gap between Add to Cart and Checkouts may point to checkout complexity; a gap between Checkouts and Sales may indicate payment failures or abandoned orders.
Audience Insights
This card gives you a behavioral snapshot of how your audience participated during the session: how long they watched, how they engaged, and where they came from.
1. Average Watch Time per User (Live State Only). Average number of minutes a viewer spent watching during the live phase.
2. Peak Concurrent Viewers. The highest number of simultaneous viewers at any single moment during the broadcast.
3. Likes. Total number of likes registered during the session.
4. Shares. Total shares by session viewers. Each share represents a user who distributed your session link to someone outside the broadcast.
5. Engagement Rate (Live). This is a simple social engagement rate relative to total audience size.
6. Virality Rate (Live). Shares divided by Unique Users. Shows what percentage of your audience actively helped spread the session to their networks.
7. Traffic Sources. A summary of how users arrived, including those who joined via shared links. This is a signal of organic referral activity driven by the session itself.
Session State Metrics (Terrific Events Only)
This card breaks down engagement and commerce behavior across the three phases of a session's lifecycle: Upcoming (before the broadcast begins), Live (during the broadcast), and Post (after it ends). It lets you see how audience size, engagement, and purchase intent evolved across each phase.
All metrics here reflect Terrific platform events only.
The card includes four sets of charts, each plotted per session phase:
A) Users by Session State. Compares Unique Users and Active Users per phase, showing who was present and who actively engaged at each stage.
B) Engagement Metrics. Plots Likes, Shares, Engaged Users, Average Watch Time, and Engagement Rate per phase. Useful for identifying which phase drove the most audience activity.
C) Cart & Checkout Counts. Shows the number of cart creations and checkout starts per phase, revealing when purchase intent peaked.
D) Cart & Checkout Values. The total cart value and checkout value attributed to each phase.
Items Performance (Terrific Events Only)
This card ranks every product featured in the session by the in-app interactions it received. Like Session State Metrics, it is based exclusively on Terrific platform events: it does not include website-side actions captured by the Pixel.
Use this table to identify which products drove the most attention inside your session. Products with high Unique Viewers but low cart additions may benefit from stronger calls to action, better pricing, or more prominent placement in future sessions.
Polls Insights
This card summarizes the results of all polls launched during the session.
For each poll, the card shows the question text followed by a results table with three columns: Answer option, Votes, and % (share of votes for that option).
Chat Insights
This card analyzes chat activity during the session: both the scale of participation and the themes that emerged from the conversation.
Most Frequent Words and Themes Mentioned
is an AI-generated analysis of the session's chat content, presented in two boxes:
1. Notes. Observations about what dominated the conversation: which products or categories generated the most questions, what sentiment the audience expressed (enthusiasm, confusion, interest in promotions), and any recurring patterns in how users participated.
2. Takeaways. Recommended actions derived from the chat patterns, such as which products to highlight more prominently, how to communicate offers more clearly, or what interactive elements to add in future sessions.
Attributed Sales Details
This card is a checkout-level audit appendix: a full row-by-row record of every order attributed to this session, showing which Terrific interaction connected each buyer to the session at the moment they purchased.
How Join Phase attribution works
When a buyer joined a session more than once across different phases, Terrific applies a priority rule to assign attribution:
Live session (highest priority)
Post-session
Pre-session (lowest priority)
If two events occurred in the same phase, the more recent one wins.
Strongest Experience Event is also shown for each order. This is the highest-intent Terrific in-app action observed for that user in this session at or before checkout, such as adding a product to cart, initiating checkout, or viewing a product. It provides behavioral context but does not independently determine which phase receives attribution credit (the Join Phase does).
Making the Most of Your Session Reports
Session reports give you a complete picture of how your audience behaved before, during, and after each live session — from the first viewer who joined in advance to the last checkout attributed 72 hours later.
