How to Enable Camera and Microphone Access for Terrific Live Sessions

When hosting a live session on Terrific, you may encounter an issue where your browser blocks access to your camera and microphone, preventing you from starting the stream. This guide will walk you through the steps to allow camera and microphone access in different browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome Settings:

    • Click the three vertical dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

    • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to Privacy and Security:

    • Scroll down and click on "Privacy and security" in the left-hand menu.

    • Select "Site Settings."

  3. Adjust Camera and Microphone Settings:

    • Under "Permissions," click "Camera."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and set it to "Allow."

    • Go back and click "Microphone."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and set it to "Allow."

  4. Restart the Browser:

    • Close and reopen Chrome to apply the changes.

    • Refresh the Terrific live session page and try starting the stream again.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox Settings:

    • Click the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-right corner.

    • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security:

    • Click on "Privacy & Security" in the left-hand menu.

    • Scroll down to the "Permissions" section.

  3. Adjust Camera and Microphone Settings:

    • Click the "Settings…" button next to "Camera."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and select "Allow."

    • Go back and click the "Settings…" button next to "Microphone."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and select "Allow."

  4. Restart the Browser:

    • Close and reopen Firefox to apply the changes.

    • Refresh the Terrific live session page and try starting the stream again.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge Settings:

    • Click the three horizontal dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

    • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to Site Permissions:

    • Click on "Cookies and site permissions" in the left-hand menu.

  3. Adjust Camera and Microphone Settings:

    • Under "All permissions," click "Camera."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and set it to "Allow."

    • Go back and click "Microphone."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and set it to "Allow."

  4. Restart the Browser:

    • Close and reopen Edge to apply the changes.

    • Refresh the Terrific live session page and try starting the stream again.

Safari

  1. Open Safari Preferences:

    • Click "Safari" in the top-left corner of the screen.

    • Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Navigate to Websites:

    • Click on the "Websites" tab.

    • Select "Camera" from the left-hand menu.

  3. Adjust Camera and Microphone Settings:

    • Go back and select "Microphone."

    • Find "terrific.com" in the list and set it to "Allow."

  4. Restart the Browser:
